But what do you actually do at Alight?

My role is to create new analytics and data science products that make marketers’ lives easier. I want to develop tools that empower our customers to solve problems they didn’t even know they had.

You love your job because …

Every day is different. The analytics space is changing so quickly, and I love tackling new challenges as they arise. On top of that, we’ve got a pretty fantastic team and an amazing culture at Alight.

Marketers are your favorite people because …

Marketers are innately creative. It’s fun to see how those creative juices translate into the questions marketers ask of data, and the incredible visualizations they are able to build with data.

What do you do when you aren’t at work?

Probably eating my way through the multitude of new restaurants opening up around Kansas City, exploring the city with my dog Otto, listening to podcasts, or some combination of the three.

You’ve just been given your own late-night talk show. Who are your first three guests?

I’d probably just have John Mayer on three nights in a row. Have you seen his weekly late-night show on Instagram Live? It’s brilliant.

What are you reading right now?

Dear Data” by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec, “Info We Trust: How to Inspire the World with Data” by RJ Andrews and “Meet Me in the Bathroom: Rebirth and Rock and Roll in New York City 2001-2011” by Lizzy Goodman

What do you pretend to hate but actually love?

Brussels sprouts. I know they smell awful (apologies to everyone for how often I bring them in for lunch). I love those tiny little cabbages.
