Brendan McConnell is joining Alight’s sales team for the summer, and we couldn’t be happier to have him aboard. We’re in contact with marketers across the country, and Brendan is helping make sure that we build strong relationships with these future customers. Learn more about Brendan in his Q&A!
But what do you actually do at Alight?
I work alongside the Sales team to help them on their everyday tasks. And I shadow the team in meetings to get a better understanding of their roles and the company.
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? What are you studying?
I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. I’m a rising senior at the University of Missouri, seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and a minor in Entrepreneurship.
What do you do when you aren’t at work?
When I’m not at work, I am usually watching sports with friends or doing something in the outdoors, such as hunting or fishing. I watch all sports except baseball, and I’m a die-hard Chiefs fan.
What’s your walkup song?
My walk-up song would be “Hell’s Bells.” It’s a song that always gets me hyped up.
If you could pick a day to relive over and over again, what day would it be and why?
The Royals’ World Series parade. It was my senior year of high school, and they gave us the day off. Me and all my friends met up in my backyard before Ubering down to the parade. Even though the actual parade wasn’t that fun, the buildup to it and the morale of Kansas City were unreal. (Until the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, then that will be the day.)
Who wins in a fight — astronauts or cavemen?
I personally think a caveman would win in the fight. Cavemen had to survive without any technology, so survival of the fittest.
What’s the title of your autobiography? And who plays you in the movie?
To be determined, but if I could pick anyone to play me, it would be Chris Farley.
