Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Names Alight Analytics Small Business of The Year Candidate

KANSAS CITY, MO – Alight Analytics, an independent marketing analytics firm based in Kansas City, has been nominated for the 2014 Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year – “Mr. K” Award.

The Small Business Celebration is a series of events that supports and celebrates the small business community within the Kansas City region and culminates in the selection of the Mr. K Award. This honor is awarded to a company who has shown growth or sustainability of their business with strong employee relations and a record of giving back to the community. The Mr. K Award is named after Kansas City’s Ewing Marion Kauffman, late pharmaceutical entrepreneur, baseball team owner and philanthropist.

The kick-off event for the Small Business Celebration series, the Small Business Candidate Showcase, will take place from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, March 27. Alight Analytics will join over 500 attendees from the Kansas City community, including 86 Small Business candidates, to celebrate and network at the Sprint Plaza in Union Station.

The Top 10 Small Business Announcement Reception will be held on April 16 to reveal the 10 small businesses in Kansas. The grand finale of the Celebration Series will take place on May 29 where one company will be crowned The KC Chamber’s Small Business of The Year.
